From the West of Iran, in the capital of Kurdistan in Iran, Kermanshah.
Here the culture of smoking both grass and chars is very rooted apart from the always present Teryak (Opium). It’s such a normal and natural thing that you will come across fully grown cannabis plants literally by the side of the road and nobody seems to pay any attention. Cannabis is part of the Iranian culture since centuries.
Kermanshah has vegetative stage that goes from 8 to 9 weeks developing leaves that area pretty broad with short internodal spaces. Its flowering takes between 7 to 8 weeks, making it an ideal plant for those who don’t want to wait too long. It is a compact and thick plant producing resinous flowers. Some display some pink and liliac stigmas, almost all the phenotypes are black or pretty dark anyway both in the foliage and in the floral structure but that doesn’t mean you won’t find green phenotypes. On the contrary.
The aromas emanating from these plants are fruity, mandarin, lemon and some other aromas difficult to describe. The effect felt sampling these plants very calming, soothing, relaxing and narcotic.
